Taaleem was founded in 2015 with a vision to create a prominent higher education network that is accessible, as well as, of great significance to the Egyptian community. With that in mind, we charted a platform that plays an important role in the advancement of Egypt’s higher education system. A platform that brings new perspectives and depths while providing knowledge, proficiency, and competence in key subject areas.
Building on this belief, Taaleem acquired “Nahda University in Beni Sueif” (NUB); the first and largest private university in the underserved region of Upper Egypt. Thus availing its residents access to exceptional educational facilities and modern curriculum. Since Taaleem acquisition in 2015, NUB challenges and enables its students to become the creative thinkers and entrepreneurial leaders of tomorrow for the benefit of their community.
Today, Taaleem embarks on a new challenge of establishing Badya University, a 167,000 sqm campus in west Cairo. The new campus will house eight academic faculties to accommodate up to 10,710 students with state-of-the-art academic facilities to provide Egyptian students with access to world-class education. Badya University is being developed in partnership with Palm Hills, one of Egypt’s leading real estate developers, and is projected to commence operations in the academic year of 2023/24, shortly after receiving its license from the Supreme Council of Private Universities. Taaleem is constantly exploring new opportunities for sustainable growth, whether through mergers and acquisitions or greenfield projects, with an eye to extending its long record of success.
Paragraph NUB is the first and largest private university in Upper Egypt. It offers the opportunity to study in one of the current 8 faculties. The 190k sqm campus houses two dental hospitals, student dorms, and a sporting & entertainment complex, among other facilities. NUB’s new extension is currently under construction, and it is set to include the faculties of arts and architecture in its first phase, in addition to a university hospital, which will serve as a teaching hospital for students in the faculty of medicine.
Taaleem has partnered with Palm Hills to build Badya University in PHD’s flagship project Badya, to be launched in September 2023 hosting eight faculties. Badya is located in West Cairo, in close proximity to the region’s main attractions and is highly accessible. Its central location allows it to cater to a catchment area with a population of 35 million.
